The earth moves in orbit around the sun, but it also drifts through space with the sun. In 1887 when Michelson and Morley carried out their experiment, the component of this drift, in the plane of the experiment, along with the orbital movement, created an absolute motion velocity of the earth of 5500m/s.
Thoughout the year this velocity changes, even today, which is why several repeats of their experiment over the years, produced different results. My new model of this experiment shows how a vital length has been overlooked. Together these two concepts destroy Relativity in favour of Newtonian mechanics.
